ESTHER JAEYEON KIM
CO-PRESIDENT
The president plays the executive role of managing the eboard and making sure everything is going as scheduled. The president planns eboard meetings depending on their necessity. The president works closely with everyone on the eboard in all the aspects of event planning, project management, finance, publicity, philanthropy, administration, and website information.
Esther is a junior from Plano, Texas. She is majoring in Biological Engineering and minoring in Biomedical Engineering. In addition to being the co-president of Cornell Premedical Society, she is a brother of Phi Delta Epsilon, vice president of KSEA (Korean Scientists and Engineers Association), member of United for Sight, and an Engineering Peer Advisor. From 2011 Fall to 2012 Spring, Esther conducted research on developing nanoparticles for tumor detection and therapy in Dr.Jin's Laboratory. Since 2012 Summer, she has been studying angiogenesis caused by the metastasis of glioblastoma in Dr. Schaffer's Laboratory. She has worked at a zoo and an animal hospital for two summers, doing post-mortem on exotic animals, training animals, and etc. For years, she has been volunteering for children with disabilities and underprivileged children through institutions such as Nuestros Ninos, Re-Connect, and 4-H Youth Development Program. Currently, she is working at Weill Cornell Medical College, conducting research with Dr. Greenfield and shadowing doctors.
